Process optimization algorithm based on the double value design structure matrix

A design structure matrix (DSM) provides a simple, compact, and visual representation of a complex system. The evaluation and optimization of business process are similar to system design, but concerned more parameters, can not use the existing DSM. A double value design structure matrix (DVDSM) algorithm based on design structure matrix (DSM) algorithm and the properties of business process is proposed, who changes the elements of DSM to double values and describes the rules and process when the value is related to path, then is applied to a store logistics system. Through the simulation experiments, the effectiveness of DVDSM is proved. In the end, the approach is extended to show distance and string on the matrix.
