摘要

The growth mode of intermetallic M92Si in Al is typical faceted in conventional solidification condition because of the high-melting entropy. However, the cylindrical morphology Of M92Si Shows that its growth mode is nonfaceted under rapid cooling condition. The direct evidence shows that the growth mode of high-melting entropy intermetallic can transit from typical faceted to nonfaceted by large undercoolings, and the transition critical value of solidification rate is about 106 C/S for M92Si in Al melt.
