摘要

With the emergence of wide bandwidth wireless networks, mobile Internet is set to provide a significant channel for multimedia content distribution. The need for mobile digital right management (DRM) solution is thus intensified in order to safeguard mobile media content. Recently, the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) has been set to define open DRM technologic specifications to protect copyrighted content against piracy, unauthorized use and distribution over mobile networks. However, OMA DRM v2.0 Rights Object Acquisition Protocol (ROAP) performs some unnecessary cryptographic operations in the DRM agent side. Therefore, this paper presents two efficient versions of OMA DRM v2.0 ROAP for protecting a Rights Object for a Device and a Domain, respectively. As a result, our optimized OMA DRM v2.0 ROAP version can provide more strong properties including efficiency and practicability.
