摘要

A method for the systematic design of process engineering equipment in the context of conceptual process design is demonstrated for the design of rectification column reboilers and evaporators. Design is considered a three-stage process: selection, configuration and sizing. A suitability degree E quantifies the match of the process-related requirements profile to the equipment-related property profile along the relevant dimensions. The presented method may support equipment design in standard cases and contribute to an accelerated process development.
