摘要

The purpose of the IEP is to ensure that the effect of individual events is not ignored as well as not considered repeatedly (redundantly) in estimating the probability of random occurrences made up of several random events. The usefulness of the IEP in electrochemistry is portrayed by selecting anode candidates for an exploratory electro-oxidation-of-mesitylene process. Three groups of electrodes with respect to their current yield/product ratio properties are employed to compute the probability that, given the size of the groups, at least one member of each group is selected for planned experiments.
