摘要

The aim of this paper is to investigate the phase synchronization of a rhythm for normal EEG signals with different ages. The collected EEG signals were first decomposed into time and frequency domain representations using continuous wavelet transformation. Based on the wavelet coefficients, conditional sampling and synchronous phase average technique are proposed to assess the phase synchronization of a rhythm by analyzing the phase average waveforms and phase difference. The investigation suggests that the phase differences present a negative linear relationship with age. The results can benefit our understanding of aging and also provide a new quantitative index for the basic research of nerve electrophysiology.
