摘要

Particle separations from gases are often used in industrial processes. In the field of emission reductions for the separation of solid particles conventional plants are often used with the same technology and are called dust collectors or-facilities. The conventional technology is based on a rectangular housing with internal filter elements. Internal bulging sheets and external cyclone separators are frequently used to protect discharge downstream filtration systems. Combinations of the two separation principles in the same housing are barely known and in use. Such combinations are called round filter, cyclone filter or filter cyclones. While for cyclone separators and filtering separators a lot of experimental investigations and publications exist, this is not the case for the cyclones downstream filtration systems and hardly for the combined design. Because of that this work deals with the experimental investigation of this developed hybrid cyclone filter. The developed hybrid filter cyclone can be used with and without the dip tube and is characterized by a very compact design with a sufficiently large filter surface. To compare the experimental test results of the conventional technology, the parameters of a selected conventional dust collector form the basis for the development of the hybrid filter cyclone. It can be shown that the combined design can be a space-saving and energy-effective alternative to conventional dust collectors.
