摘要

Effectively understanding the aging properties of composite insulator in service and a evaluation method of the composite aging degree are crucial to ensure the system to work well. Taking insulators of different serving times as samples, we test and analyze samples by hydrophobic testing, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and thermally stimulated current (TSC) test. According to the results, both the peak values in FTIR and TSC have a rising trend along with the increasing of running time. However, the results of hydrophobicity test do not show a good correspondence with the running time. Preliminary research results indicate that FTIR and TSC can determine the change of silicone rubber property more effectively. And to some extent the quantized judgment of aging degree may also be obtained from the comparison between the changes in the peak and other parameters.
