摘要

This paper presents a three-dimensional analysis of multi-rows of piles as passive barriers for isolating vibration in far field. Effects of the relevant parameters on the screening effectiveness are analyzed and presented. The theoretical results demonstrate that multi-rows of piles can function as an integrated system to isolate the ground vibrations. The number of rows mainly determines the screening effectiveness and cross-section size of each pile has less effect on the vibration isolation. The screening effectiveness of multi-rows of piles with small cross-section is as good as that of trenches. Moreover, the spacing between the two pile rows may have less effect on the vibration reduction, while the net spacing between two piles along each row can be an important factor for the vibration isolation. Hence, the distance between two piles in a row should be controlled small enough.
