摘要

Due to large output of Portland cement, the utilization of pulverized strontium slag (PSS) as a cement admixture is an available way for the effective recycling of strontium slag. In this study, the performance of Portland cement with the addition of PSS was investigated. At the same time, the leaching behavior of Sr2+ was monitored. Results demonstrated that when PSS served as the admixture of Portland cement, the setting time and water demand for normal consistency increased with the increase in PSS content. For the cement containing 5% PSS, the cement paste exhibited better fluidity and the cement mortar exhibited relatively higher compressive strength and flexural strength, lower porosity. When the PSS content reached 10 and 15%, the fluidity of the cement paste and the strength of the cement mortar were merely slightly affected. However, when the PSS content reached 20%, the fluidity of the cement paste and the strength decreased significantly. For the cement containing PSS, the cement mortar exhibited relatively lower drying shrinkage. Besides, the majority of strontium and barium in PSS were immobilized in the cement paste. At 42 d, the leaching rate Sr2+ in the cement paste is far below the leaching rate of Sr2+ of 1 x 10(-3) cm d(-1).
