A New Monoterpene Glucoside from the Roots of Aruncus sylvester

A new monoterpene glucoside, sylvesteroside D (1), was isolated from the roots of Aruncus sylvester, along with three known compounds, pomolic acid (2), 2-oxopomolic acid (3), and (2S)-5,7,3,5-tetrahydroxyflavanone 7-O--D-glucopyranoside (4). Their structures were established by spectroscopic methods including NMR, HR-ESI-MS, and ECD spectra. This is the first report of compounds 2-4 from the genus Aruncus.
