Stabilization of planar hexacoordinated boron: An ab initio study

The possibility of the existence of the stable BB6(NH2)(2)(-) anion containing the planar hexacoordinated boron atom was predicted and the influence of the Li counterion on its stability and structural parameters was studied by ab initio (MP2(full)/6-31G**) and DFT (B3LYP/6-311++G**) methods.
