摘要
A catalytic kinetic spectrophotometric method for the determination of phenthroline was proposed. The method is based on the catalysis of phenthroline to the discoloring reaction of bordeaux R oxidized by potassium periodate in the dilute acetic acid solution. The optimum conditions and kinetic parameters were studied in detail. The linear range is 0.005 similar to 0.1 mg/L, the detection limit is 3.0 x 10(-9) g/mL. The method has been applied to determine the trace phenthroline in synthetic water, waste water and river water.
