摘要

Anatomy of the adult and first instar nymph of Liposcelis bostrychophila (Psocoptera, Liposcelididae) is described in detail for the first time based on a series of sections and the use of three-dimensional computer modeling. It is shown that despite the tiny size, no strong simplification of the structure is observed in Liposcelis. The main features of the anatomy of this species associated with miniaturization are the following: the merger of individual elements of the skeleton and a simplification of the endoskeleton of the nymph, the lack of a muscle in the midgut, a simplification of the tracheal and circulatory systems, oligomerization of the central nervous system, asymmetry of the central nervous system of the nymph, and the absence of several muscles. Changes in the relative volumes of organs during the postnatal development of Liposcelis are analyzed and compared with other microinsects.
