摘要

Most current topology control algorithms focus on the power loss at node transmission, but pay little attention to balanced energy consumption of network nodes, which result in premature death of a number of nodes, and thus unable to better extend the network lifetime. This paper, taking on the parameters of energy consumption and residual energy at node transmission in heterogeneous wireless sensor networks, establishes the cost function along the transmission link, designs a distributed topology control algorithm that is based on node energy awareness (EADTC), and presents a theoretical analysis of the algorithm. With the help of this algorithm, the network topology may be dynamically optimized in reference to real-time node energy consumption, and realization of global topology optimization may only requires local topology information; therefore, it is a kind of lightweight topology control algorithm. Simulation results showed that the algorithm could avoid excessive consumption of energy at the bottleneck node. In the case of random distribution, EADTC algorithm could effectively prolong lifetime of the network, relative to the classic Liu & Li';s heterogeneous topology control algorithms. ? 2010 Binary Information Press October, 2010.
