Embeddings of almost resolvable triple systems

Let ARB(3,lambda; v) denote an almost resolvable lambda-fold system of order u. In this paper, we discuss the embedding problem for almost resolvable triple systems and prove that for any lambda ( lambda equivalent to 0 (mod 2)), the necessary and sufficient conditions for the embedding of an ARB(3,lambda; v) in an ARB(3,lambda;u) are u greater than or equal to 3v 1 and u equivalent to v equivalent to 1 (mod 3).
