摘要

This paper proposes a dc line fault detection scheme using voltage and current variation patterns for a high voltage direct current (HVDC) system connected to a renewable energy source such as a floating photovoltaic (PV) system. To create the fault detection scheme, we extracted voltage and current variation patterns from simulation results; the patterns included a dc line-to-ground fault, ac faults at the rectifier, and inverter sides. The effectiveness of the proposed fault detection scheme is verified through a case study using the Conseil International des Grands Reseaux Electriques (CIGRE) benchmark HVDC model.
