Dynamic nano-indentation method was applied to analyze the properties of 0.1 wt.% duplex stainless steel prepared by inert arc-melting, heat treatment, and 60% cold-rolling. The volume fraction of the ferrite and austenite in Gd-DSTS was 59:41 [vol.%]. The average grain sizes of the ferrite and austenite phases with gadolinium normal to rolling direction were about 51 and 52 [mu m], respectively. The fatigue limit of the austenite grain was higher than its ferrite grain after 60% cold reduction. Passivity was not observed in an aerated 0.1 M-H2SO4 solution at room temperature. The corrosion resistance was slightly reduced by 60% cold reduction.
