The monitor point layout problem of video surveillance systems in railway passenger transport hub was studied. Procedure and model of monitor point layout were proposed and solving algorithm was developed based on heuristic algorithm. The experimental result of railway passenger transport hub shows that monitor point layout model and algorithm are effective, and achieves complete coverage of hub functional areas by layout result.
