摘要

Given the stiff competition that exists in the current market, the quality and speed with which orders are executed are of decisive importance in gaining the advantage over other market participants. The automated design of technologies for making cast semifinished products and real-time correction of their parameters at the design stage are among the prerequisites for successfully competing in today's metallurgical industry. An actual production process used to make cast steel semifinished products is analyzed in the system ProCAST to illustrate the possibility of reducing the amount of time that has to be spent on designing the casting equipment.
