Modified Method for Synthesis of 4-(Aryloxy)-5-(1-benzotryazolyl)-Phthalonitriles

An improved two-step method for the synthesis of 4-(aryloxy)-5-(1-benzotryazolyl)-phthalonitriles on the basis of 4-bromo-5-nitrophthalonitrile was developed. It includes nucleophilic substitution of the bromine atom in 4-bromo-5-nitrophthalonitrile by aryloxy group on the first stage and then of nitro group by benzotriazolyl group on the second stage.
