摘要

The real potential of differential diagnosis in predicting the trend of a mastitis, the likelihood of recovery and the correct therapy is often undervalued. To join in the same family pathogens really very different can be limiting, if not counterproductive, in recognizing and fighting the emergence of antimicrobial resistance. This work reports a brief review of literature about this item and some personal experiences. Moreover it highlights the reasons that are driving to a control and monitoring of the spreading of resistant bacterial strains and of the genes responsible for. The aims is to prevent the emergence of important resistance in pathogens affecting food-producing animals, in the perspective of animal health and zoonoses too.
