Analysis of electromagnetic field transmitted by a quadratic inhomogeneous slab composed of chiral medium

A theoretical investigation has been carried out to analyze the transmission of electromagnetic field through a slab of quadric inhomogeneous chiral medium. The transmission coefficients at dielectric-chiral and chiral-dielectric interfaces are derived analytically. The transmitted electromagnetic field expressions have been obtained using Maslov%26apos;s method. The derived analytical field expressions at caustic or focal point of quadratic inhomogeneous chiral slab have been solved numerically using MATHEMATICA. The result obtained using Maslov%26apos;s method are compared with Hyugen Kirchhoff%26apos;s integral which are in good agreement.
