Phenotypic and Genotypic Analysis on Bacterial Strains from a Karathane Polluted Soil

Naturally occurring bacterial isolates capable of metabolizing nitrophenolic compounds have received considerable attention, due to their environmental persistence, as well as to their toxicity. Taxonomical identification based on BIOLOG system and confirmed by ARDRA analyses, assigned our bacterial isolates to Pseudomonas putida (N1-4b), Corynebacterium nitrilophilus (N1-1), Rhodococcus erhytropolis (1D-1) and respectively. Gordonia terrae (110D-1).
