摘要

We propose a novel technique for the simulation of the three-dimensional virtual garment movement in the random wind field by introducing the Perlin noise function. The traditional algorithm of generating the wind field is complex and the cloth as soft textile is flexible, so it is difficult to satisfy the real-time need of garment simulation in the wind. Our novel method allows us to make a disturbance to the wind speed using random number generator by Perlin noise function and the effect of wind in the form of force appears in the stress equations of the particle. The method for collision detection based on adaptive enclosing ellipsoids is applied to prevent the garment penetrating the model by generating a union of tight enclosing ellipsoids. Experimental results show that the proposed method strengthens the details and sense of reality of the garment movement simulation in the wind field and improves the real-time performance.
