摘要

Porous alumina ceramics with uniform total porosity (69.6-70.3%), spherical pores, and different pore size (22.9 +/- 10.3, 197.7 +/- 80.0 and 714.1 +/- 207.2 mu m) were prepared by using suspension emulsion, direct foaming, and solid template as pore forming mechanism, respectively and gelcasting technology. Different drying methods were selected according to the different pore forming agents. Pore size could significantly affect the mechanical and thermal properties. The compressive strength decreased evidently from 116.25 +/- 10.96 to 22.43 +/- 1.15 MPa and thermal conductivity of 1000 A degrees C increased from 0.28 +/- 0.01 to 0.58 +/- 0.01 W/(m K) with the increasing pore size (from 22.9 +/- 10.3 to 714.1 +/- 207.2 mu m).
