Phases of complicated aluminum electrolytes

摘要

With X-ray diffraction analysis, phases of complicated aluminum electrolytes with additives which included CaF2, MgF2and LiF et al were studied, and the effect of cooling rate on the formation of phase was also investigated. The phases of additives formed in the basic aluminum electrolyte are simpler than phases formed in the acid aluminum electrolyte. The phase of alumina is affected by the concentration of alumina in the electrolyte, and the phase of calcium fluoride is different at different cooling rate. These analysis results can be used for measuring cryolite ratio of aluminum electrolyte in industry.
