摘要
Comparison with the type of Principina grandis Uittien (BM) and a collection from the island Sao Tome showed them to be the same species, which has previously been unrecorded from other than the nearby island of Principe. This is only the second collection of Principina and from it a comprehensive description of the plant has been prepared. Further collections will be needed to determine the exact status of this taxon.
