The presented optical method gives results comparable with the ones obtained by means of electromechanical method using electronic position transducer. Non-contact and non-destructive measuring is one of the sensor's advanteges. Next sensitivity and accuracy of measurement is defined through geometrical and optical parameters of the designed sensor and measurement runs in quasi-real time.
