摘要

In this work, nano-sized bismuth (Bi) binding technology has been developed in order to improve the electrochemical characteristics of Bi for detecting heavy metals. A Bi nanopowder synthesized by gas condensation (GC) method exhibits a size smaller than 100 nm. The Bi nanoparticles are uniformly distributed on a carbon surface with strong chemical bonding by using a Nafion solution. The optimum additional amount of Nafion is suggested for dispersion stability and phase stability of the Bi nanoparticles. The detection sensitivity and the detection limit of the nano-Bi fixed electrode are quantitatively estimated from analyses of square wave anodic stripping voltammograms (SWASV). The proposed "mercury-free" carbon strip electrode, modified with a Bi nanopowder, is conveniently to use and is directly applicable to trace metal analysis with neither pre-deposition of Bi nor complicated surface polishing steps.
