摘要

The behavior of soil-structure interfaces is one of the major concerns in geotechnical engineering. The finite element method was used to simulate laboratory interface direct shear tests, to compare the results of different constitutive models, with the interface failure process traced using the perfect-plastic model. The calculational results of different constitutive models agree well with the test data. The interface shear stress is not uniformly distributed during shearing, which leads to the gradual failure of the interface and the nonlinear stress-displacement relationship. The results show that the perfect-plastic model reasonably describes the interface behavior with less model parameters, therefore, the model can be conveniently used in engineering.
