摘要

A compact dual-band antenna with toothbrush-shaped patch and meander line is proposed and its performance is investigated both numerically and experimentally for wireless local area network (WLAN) applications. The proposed antenna consists of a toothbrush-shaped patch, a meander line connected with a partial ground plane and a 50-X microstrip-fed structure together with the partial ground plane. The dual-band characteristic is realized by using the toothbrush-shaped patch and the meander line connected to the partial ground plane. The center frequencies and the bandwidth of the dual-band antenna can be controlled by adjusting the dimensions of the toothbrush-shaped patch and the meander line. Simulation and experiment results are included to show that the proposed dual-band antenna with wide bandwidth and good omnidirectional radiation patterns is well suited for WLAN applications.
