摘要

Studies related to the adsorption of heavy metals on activated carbons from apricot stones (ACAS) and investigation of the equilibrium of Pb(2+) Cd(2+), Cu(2+) and Zn(2+) adsorption onto ACAS are presented. Adsorption capacities in single- and four-component systems are reported together with comparative data for other low cost active carbons from fruit stones. The results with ACAS are encouraging for Pb(2+) adsorption. ACAS shows the best selectivity to Cu(2+). Equilibrium parameters for the Freundlich, Langmuir and Sips isotherms are reported. The competitive extended Langmuir isotherm was used to predict the multi-component equilibrium in four-component system.
