摘要

The objective of this study was to develop a method to differentiate two categories of stress to wheat fields, stress induced by the Russian wheat aphid, Diuraphis noxia (Mordvilko), and stress caused by other factors. The study used a set of spatial pattern metrics derived from multispectral imagery acquired with an MS3100-CIR digital camera. Thematic maps were generated from the subset of multispectral image of each wheat field. A discriminant function analysis was used to determine whether the set of spatial pattern metrics derived from thematic imps could differentiate the categories of stress. The study concluded that it was possible to use class-based spatial pattern metrics to differentiate stress induced by D. noxia from other stress factors.
