摘要

Transient voltage control attracts increasing attentions. Controlling by zones is an effective way to enhance operation stability of bulk power systems. A partitioning method for power systems based on buses'transient voltage feature is proposed in this paper. Buses'vector-type feature is constructed with their transient voltage time series. Then, used as electrical distance, cosine similarity index is introduced to evaluate their similarity. Affine propagation clustering method is applied to group the buses with similar feature and silhouette coefficient is adopted to determine the best clustering scheme. Based on the partitioning results, dynamic VAR compensation planning and transient voltage control is realized by zones. Case study on NE 39-bus system confirms its effectiveness.
