摘要
Two new palladium(II) complexes of sterically hindered1,3-bis-(4-methyl-2-thiazolylimino)isoindoline ligands [(4-MeBT-I)PdX] with X = OAc (4) and X = Cl (5) have been prepared from the free base H(4-MeBTI) (3) and Pd(OAC)(2) or PdCl2, respectively, in good yields. Both species reside as distinct mononuclear entities in the solid state, the latter as a chloroform solvate. The acetato derivative 4 is slowly transformed into the chlorido complex 5 by the action of chloroform or by chloride anions via a salt metathesis reaction. Mixed crystals containing both compounds can be obtained in which the molecules are situated in an isotypical arrangement with respect to 5 X CHCl3.
