Analysis of the thermal characteristics of metal plastic extruding poly-styrene sandwich panel

The thermal characteristics of plastic extruding polystyrene sandwich panel was determined by hot-box method and finite element method (FEM for short) respectively. The FE model, which was shown valid by the comparative analysis of experiment and FEM, was utilized to analyze the property differences of this panel and usual thermal insulating walls. At last, some thermal indices were checked. The results show that this panel satisfies the thermal performance design with excellent thermal insulating properties.
