摘要

The paper concerns hydrodynamic performance of the wave energy converter (WEC) with multi-degree of freedom. Based on the theory of diffraction and radiation, software AQWQ is used to establish a numerical model. Corresponding theoretical formula is applied to calculate the absorption of the initial wave energy and energy conversion efficiency. The numerical results show that the heave motion is the main source of energy absorbed by this type of power generation device. Considering the pitching motion of the WEC in a certain wave period, the generator will be able to get more energy, which makes the efficiency being further improved.
