The 2009 American Society of Hematology (ASH) meeting included 4,149 abstracts from national and international investigators. In 2009, there were an estimated 65,980 new cases of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas with 19,500 estimated deaths and 8,510 cases of Hodgkin lymphoma with 1,290 estimated deaths [1]. More than 1,120 abstracts were in lymphoma and 210 in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. This is a summary of selected top 10 abstracts in lymphoma, which are relevant to clinical practice. All 10 abstracts were published in full in the November 20, 2009 issue of Blood (volume 114, No. 22) and are identified by their abstract numbers.
