摘要

AISI 304 stainless steels have been cold-rolled to different thickness reduction degrees, and consequently a deformation-induced martensite phase transformation takes place in the specimens. Metallurgical microscopy was used to study the microstructure and morphology of the specimens. X-ray diffraction was also used to investigate deformation-induced transformation. Martensite phase content was determined using a Ferrite Content Measuring Instrument. The evolution of the microstructure change and the mechanism of phase transformation by varying cold-rolled thickness reduction degree were discussed.
