摘要

Small and medium sized reactors without on site refueling have market in developing countries due to factory fabrication and easy transportation. But, these reactors are expensive due to reduction of their power density and hence, to be economically competitive, the primary thrust has been to ensure Ultra Long Life core operation. There is no computational tool so far developed to estimate the life of operation of the reactor based on economics of burn up and in this paper, we propose a novel burn up management scheme which would maximize the discharge burn up of all the subassemblies of the reactor so that burn up loss in all of them is minimum and the plant availability factor is maximum. We demonstrate the utility of our scheme for a typical fast reactor core fueled with two different kinds fuels.
