Proton radiotherapy is a worldwide rapidly growing technology for cancer treatment, which has to be performed with the use of high energy accelerators. This technology was not available in Poland up to now. The paper presents the concept of the accelerator for proton therapy center, which is now under construction in Cyclotron Centre Bronowice..
