摘要

This article revealed the inherent evolution process and the construction mechanism of regional architectures in gentle slope areas of East China, by means of considering local residential traditions as the basic principle of the planning and design system. A factor list of regional architectures and optimum technologies was established according to local natural conditions and social traditions. In addition, a case study on a model village planning of low-hilly ecological dwellings in the Yangtze river lower reaches area of east China was conducted to validate the feasibility and applicability of the research approach.
