摘要

The basic evolution technologies of IPv6 include dual stack, tunneling and translation recognized by the Internet industry. However, each technology has its advantages and disadvantages. The diversity of technology solutions serves for different application scenarios and provides reliable choices. The relative mainstream IPv6 evolution technologies, such as 6RD, DS-Lite and IVI, are derived from the most basic evolution technologies. The evolution of IPv6 will last a long process, since the current evolution mechanisms remain insufficient and need further improvements. The comparative analyses on these IPv6 evolution technologies are made with an overview of these evolution technologies. The end-to-end application performances of the basic evolution technologies are evaluated with transmission ethernet latency and server's response time obtained via the OPNET Modeler14.5.
