摘要

In this paper, a frequency offset synchronization structure using coordinate rotation digital computer (CORDIC) processor and dividers is proposed for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing systems. The frequency offset synchronization using a conventional CORDIC algorithm uses the vector-mode CORDIC for frequency offset estimation, and the rotation-mode CORDIC for frequency offset compensation. The proposed scheme also uses the vector-mode CORDIC for frequency offset estimation. However, for frequency offset compensation, the proposed scheme uses simple division hardware instead of the rotation-mode CORDIC. The implementation results show that the proposed scheme can achieve a significant reduction in hardware complexity.
