摘要

Implementation of integrated water management of irrigation district can benefit the agricultural ecology, economy and society in a coordinated and sustainable way. It not only improves the ecological function of farmland and maintains the safety of our domestic food supply, but also protects the water resources and environment. In this paper, we defined the concept of integrated water management of irrigation district and demonstrated its importance and urgency in irrigation district development. Then the research progresses of water-saving irrigation, drainage control and agricultural non-point source pollution control in irrigation district were discussed comprehensively at home and abroad as well as its existing problems including the lack of considering fully temporal variability, scale effect, integration of engineering and technology, indicator system, and the coordinative operation of irrigation and drainage systems. Finally, the future research trend and potential breakthrough point of study for the integrated water management of irrigation district were analyzed at the aspects of water saving, drainage control, pollution control and their coupled interactions, in order to utilize the water resources efficiently. The research results of this paper can support the sustainable development of irrigation district in our country and other relevant research works.
