A novel method to prepare amorphous alloy catalyst with silver inducing and KBH4 reducing

Silver inducing and KBH4 reducing on powder is a novel method to prepare supported NiB amorphous alloy catalysts. In this contribution a kind of NiB(Ag)/MgO supported catalyst was prepared. Its amorphous structure and properties were characterized by XRD, ICP, TEM and SAED. The catalytic activity was measured during the hydrogenation of sulfolene. Comparing with Raney Ni, this kind of NiB(Ag)/MgO amorphous catalyst exhibits more excellent catalytic activity.
