摘要
A complete neuro-ophthalmologic assessment is relatively simple, requires minimal instrumentation and should be performed as part of every complete ophthalmic and neurologic examination. This article summarizes the elements of the complete neuro-ophthalmologic examination of the equine patient, discusses selected causes of sudden blindness in the horse and discusses some common neuro-ophthalmic conditions, such as facial nerve paralysis, that have significant ophthalmic consequences.
