摘要

The adsorption of cerium, dysprosium, and europium on peat has been studied under static conditions. Experiments were carried out as a function of solution pH, initial concentration, contact time and temperature. The results showed that the pH has pronounced effect on the adsorption process. The pseudo-second-order kinetics model described the process of adsorption fairly well, and the Freundlich model best fitted the adsorption isotherm with regression coefficients close to 1. The adsorption processes were spontaneous and irreversible. The increase of temperature was not significant to the adsorption processes. Higher electro-negativity of rare earth elements (REEs) increased their adsorption affinity for peat, which were different due to their chemical properties.
