摘要

An analytical solution based on infinite flat plate theory of transient heat transfer for medium density fiberboard (MDF) heating in hot air was established. The temperature fields and equations to estimate heating time were derived. FEM modeling and simulations were conducted using ANSYS software. A series of field tests, in which the effects of different environment temperatures, thicknesses and sizes of the samples, and positions on temperature responses were considered, were carried out to verify the results obtained by the analytical and FEM simulation. The results show that the temperature responses by the analytical solution and FEM simulation agreed well with the actually measured results. The elapsed time to reach the equilibrium temperature obtained by the analytical and FEM methods is close to that measured by the field tests.
